Marriage Dilemmas

WHY DO MARRIAGES COLLAPSE?

Sometimes I wonder the reason behind marriage, is it to produce children? To have your best friend for life? To marry the love of your life? And then another question pops up in my head: what is true love?

Most people that are married tend to have problems in their marriage which always involve their partner's interest in another person, extramarital affairs and even, for some, the well being of the household. It got me thinking: why do people get married in the first place if these issues are those that can actually be avoided? Why do married people do what they do?

In my opinion,  people get tired of marriage or are unforgiven or they won't just stop what pisses the other person off because they don't care about them anymore. Yet they say marriage is an institution that teaches a different thing from what you have heard of. Most people tend to compare their marriage to others. But I think the question most partners fail to ask themselves is this: "will my partner be impressed with what I about do?"
Everybody keeps looking for their better halves but will not readily consider themselves as 'half' when they make certain decisions and moves.

So tell me, why do you require a missing piece if you are a whole being?
